Now that you have picked up the most PAWfect Christmas tree, here are a few helpful hints on ow to take care of a fresh Christmas Tree.

  • Wait until your tree is settled into the base before removing the netting.
  • Add a tree skirt underneath the stand to catch all needles
  • Saw between half an inch and an inch from the bottom of the tree before setting it into water (if not freshly cut)
  • Sap oozes out of any seals and pores of the tree, by sawing off the base you will open up the pores and allow the tree to more easily absorb water.
  • Water. Water. Water. Fresh-cut trees can consume a gallon of water in 24 hours!
  • Use warm water for the first watering, this will help open the pores of the tree.
  • Fill the tree stand with warm water and never let the water level go below the base of the tree.
  • Keep the tree away from any heat such as heaters, fireplaces, or stoves.
