Roundwood House is a charming property located in the heart of Laois County. They offer both lodge B&B and self-catering cottages for two in the beautiful Slieve Bloom area.
One of the highlights of Roundwood House is The Forge, a beautiful open-plan, split-level apartment that used to be the old forge. It has a double bed on a mezzanine and, if a second bed is required, there is a pull-out sofa in the sitting room. The Forge is comfortable and spacious with a wood-burning stove, fully fitted kitchen, washing machine, television, and WiFi. It's the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a quiet weekend retreat.
At Roundwood House, the service, location, and hospitality are second to none. The cottages are cozy, and the grounds are beautiful. Be sure to take some time to explore the grounds, in the Main House and check out the library.
If traveling with pets, dogs and cats are allowed in the two self-catering cottages. Plus, guests staying in those cottages are welcome to come in and enjoy breakfast and dinner in the Main House if they don’t wish to self-cater. Just keep in mind that there is a cleaning surcharge of €20 per stay for pets.
