Ghleann Éada Cottage is a charming two-bedroom traditional thatch cottage situated in Glenade Valley, North Leitrim, Ireland. Over 100 years old, the cottage has been carefully restored to create an authentic and cosy space with breathtaking views of Glenade Lake and Eagle's Rock, the tallest tower in the Dartry Mountains.
The cottage features two double bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and sitting room area with a wood-burning stove, a bathroom, and a snug, making it the ideal location for a peaceful countryside retreat. The kitchen and sitting room area have been renovated with a pitched roof to create a bright and airy atmosphere, and a large bay window offers stunning mountain views. Guests can enjoy a true Irish traditional cottage experience with a firewood supply and underfloor heating.
The cottage's main bathroom has a bath and shower and is located near the kitchen and back entrance. The snug, located above one of the double bedrooms, provides a quiet space for relaxation, yoga, or meditation with bean bags and mats provided. Quirky ornaments and vintage pieces can be found throughout the cottage, adding to its charm.
Ghleann Éada Cottage also has a Summer Cabin situated at the back of the property, offering spectacular views of the valley, lake, and mountains, including Eagle's Rock. The cabin is perfect for summer BBQs or quiet moments in Leitrim's picturesque countryside.
Parking is available at both sides of the cottage with front and back entrances. Upon arrival, guests will have full access to the cottage for a truly immersive rural experience. And lastly, and most importantly, dogs are welcome to join their owners at Ghleann Éada Cottage.
